Tattooed by Nature
After the smoke clears and the storm has passed. I use to ask myself how long was the healing process going to last. Patience and unconditional love was the key for the pain. Although, I would never want to go through it again. Every time I enter a room the tattoos are always groomed. People will stare and smile, but they know I have survived. Survived a painful trauma, and I owe it all to GOD and my mama.(RIP) As I look at my tattoos by nature I truly know that I am one of GODS creatures. Until next time...Tiffany...

Wearing a Suite of Armor
Good Afternoon! Yesterday I met a older gentleman who is also a burn survivor. He was burned when he was one years old. He said that he remembers eveything like it was yesterday. He told me that growing up with the scars kids were very cruel. They use to call him "alligator hands" and other names that wasn't very nice. I agreed with him about kids were cruel. It's amazing how tough you become when you have to deals with those type of comments as a kid. I called it" Wearing the suite of armor". I know kids are just being kids some understand and some do not. It's sad to say that some adults still have that same mentality today. After everything that a burn survivor has been through the mean and cruel comments still hurts. Some people don't have to say a word you can tell by the facial expressions what's on their mind. A burn survivor has to wear a suite of armor everywhere they go at all times. Because they never know when they are going to have a encounter with a inmature human being. If a child ask me what happened I will not hesitate to tell them. I have always thought that I would be saving a child from going through what I had to experience at their age. I will always treat people the way I want to be treated with love and compassion! Until next time...Tiffany...

Healing
Good Afternoon! Today while meditating I could not stop thinking about one of the burn survivors. His story was a bittersweet experience that took my breath away. He and three of his friends where driving and the car exploded. All of his friends died but he lived. I could tell that he hasn't realized how blessed he is. On the other hand, I could also understand that he was still missing his friends. To be the only one to survive spoke volumes too me. His girlfriend told me that she is always telling him that he needs to thank god for being alive. She also told me that she was so glad that they met me. I told her once he knows his self worth he will be on his way to healing. I can truly say his story had an impact on my life as well. I can only imagine the thoughts that goes through his mind everyday. Loving yourself is the most important part of the healing process. I pray that I can be the one to help him realize his self worth. Unitl next time...Tiffany...

Courage
Good Evening! Being a burn survivor has turned out to be a blessing in disguised. It has allowed me to start my own business and help other people along the way. Life is definitely full of surprises. When, I least expected it the story of my life started to pour out all around me. I feel that my story has a uniqueness about it that, I have shared in more details in my book. A lot of burn survivors prefer not to talk about their story for one reason or another. I keep expressing to them that in do time they will get to that point when they will want to share. I am grateful that my time has arrived. It takes a lot of courage to talk about a tragedy that has happened in your life. Once you look at it as a blessing it is no longer a tragedy. The lord won't put no more on you than you can bare. I am a living testimony of that. Until next time ... Tiffany...

Asking God
Good Morning! After being in the medical field for thirteen years, I realized that everything happens for a reason. When I finally took the time to sit down, and ask GOD "What is my divine purpose in life". The wheels started to turn in my head about giving back to the community. As, I sat in my thoughts waiting to hear from God for answers. I started looking at my arms, legs, and said out loud "It's has something to do with my burns". GOD said "Yes it does"! I never knew after all of these years why was I a burn survivor until now. I love to encourage people, and give support anyway that I can. Everybody has a divine purpose in life, and I thank God for introducing me to mine. Being a spokes advocate for burn victims and survivors is the most fulfilling thing that I have ever done in my life! Ask and you shall receive! Until Next Time ...Tiffany...
